A few years ago I heard about the Chicagoland Ride for Kids charity ride when some of the organizers stopped by my office and asked permission to set up a camera on our property to film the ride going by that weekend. At the time I was very interested in the ride, but didn't have my bike operational at the time to participate.

Last year, we had other stuff going on and it turned out to be a hot MUGGY day, so I chickened out.

This year, July 15th, I'm going to do it! This will be my first charity ride. The ride is a fundraiser for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, which is a 4-star rated charity according to CharityNavigator.org. I'm not sure how many bike are involved or how long the ride is, but from what I've heard it's a BIG event. I plan to podcast during the ride.

If you could sponsor me, I would greatly appreciate it. The minimum donation is $35, which I'll cover myself, but I'd very much like to raise as much as I can. Remember, it's not about me or the ride, it's all about the kids.
