Illin' and Chillin'
I spent all of last week on the couch. I'm not sure if it was The Killer FLU of 2003-4!!!! but it did kick my butt and seems to be more than just a cold. I had the fever, aches, chills, caugh, headache, etc., etc. And most of all, I slept. A lot.
But luckily, before I fell totally ill, I was able to move my MythTV box upstairs to the main TV. It came in very handy during all of my couch surfing. I'm still having some random stability issues and require about 2-3 reboots a day. But that only happens when viewing, so if the box is just left to record, it's pretty stable. I'm starting to wonder if it's heat related. I might need to move the encoder cards apart to get some more airflow between them.
Of course, one of the glitches happened right as CSI was starting. So we watched it live just in case if was going to barf again. After 4 days of being able to skip commercials, it was really a pain in the ass being stuck having to watch them. Ah well, somehow I survived.
And it seems like I will survive this plague as well. I still have a residual head cold, but have been fever-free since Friday or Saturday and actually put in most of a day's work on Friday. Now if only I could tame this cough and get my sinuses back. Though I shouldn't push it. It's nice just to be vertical again.
Yes, it is nice to have you no longer dropping random body parts all around the house from the plague. =)
I must have white blood cells on speed or sumpin'.

I swear you, Tariq and Greg are lucky to not get as sick as often as the spouses.
As my grandpa used to say, it's all about drinking the right booze.
