Motorcycle Man
We had a great day today. Motorcycle ride. Apple picking. Lunch/dinner at the Irish Mill. Then I took Amy to the airport where I'm taking lessons. Just as we got there, A Robinson R44 helocopter was taking off. It was pretty cool. The plane I fly most often was sitting in the hangar, so she got to see it. I'd hoped she could sit in it, but we had to be content looking through the window. Amy was surprised how small the planes were. So was I the first time I walked up to one. We watched a few planes take off and land, then we headed home.
It was a beautiful, cool, late-summer day - perfect for a motorcycle ride. I'm so glad to have my bike back. While we were loading the apples onto the back of the bike, a little kid walked by with his parents. He looked at us with our helmets and leather jackets and said, "Look dad, a motorcycle man!" How cute. Before next spring, I've got to get Amy a real riding jacket. It's not fair I'm more skid-proof than she is. Maybe one day we'll get her her own bike, too. . . .
What a great day. I love my baby.
