Ok, I'm Gonna Do It
I'm not sure where yet, or with who, but I'm gonna do it. And my wife says it's OK.
I'm going to start flying lessons.
I went to the airport by work today, and the people there were awesome. There's a flying club at Waukegan (about 3 minutes from home) I'm going to check out, also. They have cheaper rates, but require membership, so I have to see how/when it balances out. The nice thing about the one at Campbell is that I could train on my lunch hour(s).
It's not cheap, but it's doable. And I've been waiting too long to win the lotto or something before getting started. I'm never going to be rich, fine, so I'm going to get off my ass and just get started.
I can't tell you how excited I am. Words fail.
Now watch me fail the physical. . . .
woo hoo! scary and fun! I'm hoping you'll have the instructor take pictures of your first flight!

Hopefully there are still some lunchtime slots this week. Hopefully the forecast 'partly cloudy' for the rest of the week is more on the partly side than the cloudy side.

I did get some of the airport and my instructor took one of my by the plane after the flight. We'll se how that turns out. In a few more flights, I'll take the camera again and try to get some aerial shots.
